A Pair of Suspects Accused with Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder following the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.

Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes which included the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
