Football Recap: Denver Edge Hapless Jets in Defensive Affair

In a low-scoring contest on Sunday, the Broncos managed to secure a 13-11 victory over the winless New York Jets. Quarterback Bo Nix threw an early touchdown pass and specialist Wil Lutz kicked the game-winning decisive three-pointer to secure the hard-fought win.

Dominant Performance Seals Contest

Even with registering nine sacks versus Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 following conceding a safety in the second half. Interestingly, the Jets could only produce just 82 total net yards during the contest.

The Denver quarterback, who completed 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, engineered a decisive 12-play, 65-yard drive that culminated in Lutz's short field goal with just over five minutes left.

Record Difficulties for Jets Attack

Despite their horrendous performance, the Jets still had possession with a opportunity to score a potential winning score. But Fields was sacked on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn opted to attempt the conversion instead of sending out kicker Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

Fields had difficulties all game, connecting on just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. New York ended up with negative ten net yards passing, the lowest in any contest since 1998.

"The aerial attack was non-existent," the coach stated following the game.
