Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Beach
An aircraft flying above a crowded coastal beach abruptly began spiraling wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a line of palm groves as spectators observed.
Footage shared on the internet capture the helicopter commencing to spiral above the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a steps adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were hurt. Details on their wounds were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
Planned Function
The department said the chopper was linked to an yearly “Cars N Copters” charity gathering scheduled for the next day.
