Paramount Skydance Will Cut Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News

Paramount Skydance plans to initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August with a value of $8.4bn.

More global layoffs are likely, as the firm intending to disclose full details in its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports stated the firm aimed to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.

By December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
